Denny, Sandy Bands and Artists Music
Sandy Denny was born on January 6th, 1947 in Wimbledon, in south-west London. After art school training, she met John Renbourn, Martin Carthy, and others, and joined the band 'The Strawbs', with whom she made the first version of her best-loved song, 'Who Knows Where The Time Goes'. Sandy was revered as the premier female singer-songwriter of her generation by the likes of Elton John, Pete Townsend, Rod Stewart, Robert Plant, Don Henley, Judy Collins and many others.
