Pachelbel, Carl Theodorus Composers Composition Music
Carl Theodorus (Charles Theodore) Pachelbel (1690-1750) was the youngest son of Johann Pachelbel. With Johann's second son, he also came to the American colonies. Only one composition, a choral Magnificat, survives, but there are records of his organ playing in various cities and of his playing in the first known concert in the new world. Carl met Charles Wesley and may have been one of the vessels introducing Lutheran musical style into the Methodist Church.
