Spratlan, Lewis Composers Composition Music

American Post-modern composer and academic Lewis Spratlan (1940-) won the Rockefeller Award for his opera Life is a Dream and the Pulitzer Prize in 2000 for its second act. After teaching elsewhere, he joined the faculty of Amherst College in 1970.
