Tenney, James Composers Composition Music

Avant-garde composer born in Silver City, New Mexico in 1934. He has written much experimental music involving unusual types of tuning. John Cage, late in his life was asked if he were a young composer, with whom would he wish to study; his answer: "James Tenney." He died on August 24, 2006.
