Lane, Burton Songwriters Songwriting Music
Composer Burton Lane (1912-1997) began his long and successful musical career on Tin Pan Alley in 1927. He scored songs for Broadway musicals, including Finian's Rainbow and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, and for over 30 films. He also is credited with the discovery of an 11-year old singer, Judy Garland.
