African-american singer, dancer, and actor (1925-1990). Member of the "Rat Pack" with Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop. Had a number one hit single with "Candy Man" in 1972. Created controversy with his marriage to white actress Mai Britt and his conversion to Judaism in the 1960s.
