Dietrich, Marlene People Arts

Marlene Dietrich (1901-1992): German-born film actress. After starring in "The Blue Angel" (Germany: 1929, directed by Josef von Sternberg), she moved to the United States where she made a string of movies cementing her reputation as an icon of mysterious glamour. Dietrich spent her last years in seclusion in Paris, where she died in 1992.
