People's Court Court Shows Reality-Based Programs
"The People's Court" is a syndicated courtroom reality show. It has a long history--it started in 1981 with Judge Joseph A. Wapner. That first version lasted until Wapner quit the show in 1993. Then the show was revived in 1998 with Judge Ed Koch. Koch lasted only one season and was replaced by Judge Jerry Sheindlin, husband of TV's Judge Judy. Now, Sheinlin has stated he will quit the show, and in March 2001, a new judge, Marilyn Milian.
