Sterling [Windham County] Connecticut was incorporated from Voluntown in 1794. It was named for one of its residents, Dr. John Sterling.Area, 27.3 sq. miles. Population, est., 2,814. Voting Districts, 1. Principal industries, poultry and dairy farming, manufacturing, stone quarry. Sterling includes the village of Oneco.
