Morgan, John Pierpont Industrialists or Inventors Famous Nutmeggers Society and Culture
John Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) was born in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1860, he became U.S. agent for his father's banking firm in London, and later went on to gain fame as an extraordinary financier and philanthropist.
