Tift Counties Georgia United States

Tift County was created Aug. 17, 1905. Named for Nelson Tift (1810-1877) Representative from Georgia. County seat is Tifton, Georgia. Tift County currently has roughly 18,500 residents and is a major artery for surface transportation.
