Caddo Counties Oklahoma United States
Caddo County was organized on August 6, 1901 when much of southwestern Oklahoma was opened by land lottery. Caddo comes from an Indian word, Kaddi, meaning "life" or "chief." The county is primarily agricultural and produces much of Oklahoma's peanuts, alfalfa and wheat. Land Area: 1,290 square miles of level plains and rolling hills
