Orange Counties Texas United States
Orange County was initially a part of Jefferson County. This portion of the county was established as a separate county in 1852. George Patillo chose the name because he thought that his orange groves were going to turn out better than they did. Originally called Madison, the county seat was renamed Orange in 1858.
