The township of Nhulunbuy is approximately 750 kilometres by road from Katherine. It is home to approx. 4000 people making it the Northern Territory's fourth largest town. Nhulunbuy, is a major service centre for the mining operations and is the administrative and commercial centre for the East Arnhem Region.
