Monodontidae Odontoceti Cetacea Mammalia
The family Monodontidae consists of two species; the Beluga (Delphinapterus leucas) also known as the White Whale, and the Narwhal (Monodon monoceros). Both are a type of whale found naturally in the cold northern waters of and near the Arctic.
