National Electrical Code Individual Standards Standards Reference
The National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70, is an US standard for electrical design and construction. It differs from the National Electrical Safety Code -- which utilities use. The NEC is an extensive document that undergoes a continual revision process with a new release every three years. The 2002 Code is one of those releases.
