Amish The Americas Ethnicity
The Amish are a separatist Christian group primarily located in central United States (concentrated in Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio), though a few communities can be found in Canada and Central America as well. They are descended from Swiss Mennonites who fled to the United States to avoid persecution in the 18th century. They are best known for their avoidance of electricity and other modern conveniences.
