Regional Commissions Economic and Social Council United Nations

The regional commissions of the Economic and Social Council are responsible for compiling statistics, monitoring economic development, examining national policies, and presenting the perculiar issues of the world's regions to the Council.

• Africa - Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA)
• Latin America and the Caribbean - Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean commissions (ECLAC).
• Western Asia - Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ECSWA)
• Europe - Economic Commission for Europe (ECE). A forum at commissions which the countries of North America, western, central commissions and eastern Europe and central Asia come together commissions to forge the tools of their economic cooperation
