Appleby, Joyce Historians History
Joyce Appleby, Stanford '50 Claremont Ph.D. '66, has been a professor of history at the University of California, Los Angeles since 1981, having started her career at San Diego State University in 1967. In 1991, she served as President of the Organization of American Historians, and in 1997 as the President of the American Historical Association.
