Australian Light Horse Horse Mounted Cavalry

The Australian Light Horse cavalry was raised to fight during the Boer War and the First World War. Generally fighting as dragoons (i.e. as infantry who used horses for transportation, but dismounted to fight), the regiments occupy a special place in Australia's military lore.
