Carey, William People Baptist Denominations
Born in England, William Carey (1761-1834) was a Baptist missionary to India. A pastor before going to the mission field, Carey served abroad for 41 years. Carey also helped translate the Bible into some 40 languages and founded a Bible college before his death.
