Saint Pio of Pietrelcina Saints Catholicism Denominations
St. Pio of Pietrelcina, better known as Padre Pio, was an Italian Capuchin Franciscan priest. He bore the stigmata for fifty years. He is said to have had the gifts of bilocation, reading hearts, and healing. Padre Pio died in 1968, was beatified in 1999, and canonized a saint in 2002.
