Gāṇapatya is an approach that treats Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, as the primary deity. He is worshiped first in most of the Hindu practices and has developed an exclusive following as well. A large number of Hindu temples are dedicated just to this deity and his worship is classically known as Gāṇapatya.
