Los Angeles Angels Teams Major League Baseball
The Angels joined the American League in 1961. The club was originally known as the Los Angeles Angels. In 1966, they were renamed the California Angels and moved into Anaheim Stadium. The name changed in 1997 to the Anaheim Angels. The Angels won their only World Series in 2002, beating the San Francisco Giants 4 games to 3.
