Olajuwon, Hakeem Players NBA Professional

Retired from professional basketball on November 9, 2002 in Houston, where the Houston Rockets retired his jersey number No. 34. Hakeem played 17 seasons with the Rockets and led them to back-to-back NBA Championships in (1993-1994) and (1994-1995) seasons. Olajuwon came to Houston in 1980 from Nigeria and helped the University of Houston Cougars play in three NCAA Final Fours. The squad during Hakeem's years were nicknamed, Phi Slamma Jamma.
